Summary:
Colliers Mortgage is seeking a Transaction Manager to provide high level support to our production team. Reporting to and in collaboration with the assigned production teams, this highly visible role will serve as the primary liaison between the Agency or Capital Markets production teams, as well as internal Colliers Mortgage credit staff. They will also be tasked with continuing to build on and develop relationships with the broader Colliers network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • In coordination with Origination, Chief Credit Officer, and Chief Underwriter, serve as primary front-line contact for all agency transactions
  • Assist in training and developing an exceptional team of junior and senior production analysts
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Optigo policies and procedures, as well as any other germane funding sources
  • Promptly provide deal structuring support and guidance to all applicable stakeholders while addressing any structuring issues that arise at origination
  • Deliver sensible risk-based solutions that align with company and Agency program requirements by providing full and timely disclosure of known transactional risks and ensure open communication among all team members during initial screening process
  • Size, structure, and price individual transactions for origination staff
  • With production analyst support - prepare, review, and promptly submit high quality quote requests to Agencies
  • Review Agency response letters for accuracy
  • Prepare Loan Applications for signature and negotiate approved changes in conjunction with legal
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient handoff from Origination to Credit/Underwriting
Required Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in underwriting, structuring and/or pricing Agency/GSE transactions
  • Expert level knowledge of Agency financing and underwriting for all applicable product types (structured, seniors, multifamily, etc.)
  • Team leadership or management experience preferred
  • Ability to build robust and collaborative teams, instilling the need for strong work/business ethic and commitment to customer service
  • Must possess deep and productive working relationships with Agency/GSE partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization
  • Strong technical/analytical skills with the ability to think critically and maintain keen attention to detail
  • Clear sense of urgency with the ability to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree/training/certifications preferred
Job Expectations
  • Monthly domestic travel is required for this position
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $83,000 to $135,000 annually. This role is also eligible for discretionary bonus.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
