You will be supporting a local District Department for one of the largest Electric Distribution, Utility Cooperative headquartered in Johnson City Texas:

WHAT WE NEED?

We are seeking a Treasury Analyst to support local Large Energy Company Treasury Dept. Reporting directly to the Treasury Manager this position is responsible for supporting various aspects of the Cooperative’s treasury functions and operations. Recording and reporting cash transactions, Electronic Payments, Check writing and distribution just to name a few duties. We need someone that can work without constant supervision and have strong reconciliation/researching skills. The ideal person for this role is someone that’s interested in learning and confident with taking on new technologies. Willing to be part of the team and grow.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Treasury Analyst conducts analysis, provides project support, and assists in treasury operations. This individual's primary tasks are centered on the company’s treasury, financing, and banking activities. Treasury analysts will manage and analyze the organization's financial activity. You will review financial transactionsand also aid in ad-hoc department initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Review and clear daily cash transactions in the accounting software
• Analyze banking transactions and ensure proper accounting
• Prepare reconciliations of bank statements against general ledger and clearing accounts
• Prepare reconciliations of investment and debt accounts
• Review and prove daily bank wires
• Maintain banking relations to include opening and closing accounts, updating banking services, and monitoring existing bank accounts
• Complete the voiding checks process as requested by authorizing departments
• Provide district offices with bank deposit supplies
• Establish work priorities and activities
• Assist in coordinating activities with other departments related to district cash registers
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of all bank signature cards
• Analyze, research, reconcile and correct discrepancies
• Create ad hoc reports
• Assist with project assignments and cash reporting
• Monitor daily cash transactions and investigate unusual activity
• Review and complete the daily positive pay process

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU MUST HAVE:

• High School Diploma
• 3-5yrs of related experience (Banking, Accounting, Finance or Treasury)
• Corporate Cash Handling Experience OR Treasury Experience (Accounting, Banking or Finance Background maybe Acceptable with related job experience)
• Microsoft
• Strong Excel
• Some Treasury and /or Accounting Systems Experience (Highly Desired)
• Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using software programs, entering data or processing information
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Skilled in anticipating, identifying, analyzing and resolving conflict and problems
• Skilled in time management
• Skilled in managing changing priorities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
• Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems
