Stephenson Equipment, Inc. (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania and New York providing sales, rentals, parts, and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for a Truck Assembly Shop Technician at our MJR, Harrisburg branch.

Our Truck Assembly Shop Technicians have superior skills in automotive style electrical systems.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Full heavy duty truck technician basic tools and equipment
• Knowledge and skill associated with heavy duty truck repair
• Electrical Systems
• Hydraulic Systems
• Welding/fabrication steel, aluminum (MIG/TIG/stick) skills are a bonus
• Lifting, bending, climbing, under stuck, under cab, under hood, and off ground work is required

The best fit for our team will have:

• Familiarity with best wiring and circuit practices
• Knowledge of relays, switches, motors, power distribution panels, fusible circuits, etc. Installation and troubleshooting is required.
• The ability to be trained with integrated electronic control systems for onboard, plow, bed, salt, and pre-wet systems.
• The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• The ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal installation instructions and manuals.
• The ability to install control consoles and equipment in a truck cab.
• Previous experience with electric or hydraulic systems.
• The ability to install and integrate 12v LED lighting and accessories.
• The ability to climb, bend, life and work under trucks and under truck hoods is required.
• Sensitive time management and time keeping skills are required
• Work truck, automotive, or construction equipment electrical experience is desired
