We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our health care team! The ideal candidate will be willing to learn. Our staff is dedicated to helping you grow into a well rounded veterinary assistant. We are looking for a positive, highly motivated individual who is as committed to excellence as we are.
You will learn/ be responsible for:
- How to prepare vaccines.
- How to run diagnostics (intestinal parasite screens, blood work, heartworm tests, etc.)
- How to prepare and load rooms for the doctors.
- Restraining cats and dogs for vaccines, blood draws and diagnotics.
- Analyzing inestinal parasite screens on the microscope.
- Putting in charges for patients.
- stocking rooms and pharmacy.
- Filling medications.
- How to set up for blood collection.
- Radiology.
- cleaning rooms and treatment area.
- Assisting technicians and doctors with treatments.
We are willing to teach you on the job. Must have a willing to learn attitude and be a team player.
Looking for full or part time. Hours are flexible but typically weekday hours are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and saturdays are 8 am - 12 pm. We can work around school schedules.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
