In 2022, Arizona will be a premier battleground state with highly competitive races to elect Democrats at every level of the ticket. Mission for Arizona will serve as Democrats' central hub for organizing, voter protection, and political infrastructure for the cycle. Paid Digital Fellows will help support Mission for Arizona's digital organizing efforts by helping staff and run text banks, phone banks, curate data, and reach out to our supporters both in Arizona and nationwide to activate them to support our digital efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation of daily text banks. Roles include confirming attendees via texts and phone calls, operating a Zoom call for text bank participants, answering questions of texting volunteers in the campaign Slack channel.
  • Recruiting and training volunteers for virtual voter contact (phonebanking, texting).
  • Updating campaign databases on volunteers and voters contacted during virtual text and phone banks.
  • Do direct virtual voter contact by participating in text campaigns and phone banks.
  • Digital fellows will assist either the out-of-state organizing program or the digital tools associate.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passionate about the Democratic platform and excited to build the campaign virtually and recruit a broad, diverse community of Democrats young and old.
  • Comfortable interacting with volunteers and voters in a digital/remote environment. Comfortable instructing volunteers on our digital platforms.
  • Willingness/ability to learn campaign software platforms for data collection, virtual texting, and phone banking.
  • Proficiency in Zoom and/or VoteBuilder (VAN) is preferred but not required.
  • Able to commit 10 hours/week during the duration of the fellowship. Fellowship length may vary depending on the hiring date. All fellowships will end with the election in November.
  • Must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Logistics:

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
  • Hours: 10 hours/week
  • Pay: $15/hour
  • Location: Remote (anywhere) although hours will be based on AZ time (MST).
