Description
The School of Engineering, housed in the College of Applied and Social Sciences at the University of Mount Union invites applicants for a part-time or full-time Visiting Assistant Professor faculty position to begin immediately. We seek an educator-scholar with emphasis in computer and electrical engineering. The School of Engineering currently offers ABET-accredited programs in civil and mechanical engineering. Newly created programs in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering will seek ABET accreditation after graduating their first classes in 2022.
Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate engineering education in a liberal arts setting. Industrial experience is highly desirable. Primary responsibilities include teaching electrical and computer engineering courses and labs, and introductory engineering courses, participating in the ABET accreditation process, and service to the School, College and University. The position may be part-time or full-time depending on the individual’s needs. Individuals with previous online teaching experience is highly desirable. The School is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service. Qualifications
Bachelors in electrical or computer engineering, or closely related field; Ph.D in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field.
