Skills and Abilities: Ability to utilize electronic database system. Proficiency in MS Office and specifically MS Outlook. Customer service skills. Oral and written communication skills.
Licenses/Certifications/Clearances: Valid NYS Driver's License, NYS Child Abuse Registry.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment.
Required Trainings: VIRTUS, Corporate Compliance, Defensive Driving.

Responsibilities:
Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is the largest volunteer program in the nations which recruits trains and places older adults ( age 55+) in a host of community-based human service agencies. The
Program Associate will coordinate and monitor services for the Elderly Services RSVP participants.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Provide education regarding the Retired Senior Volunteer (RSVP) Program through the Office of the Aging.
- Coordinate the RSVP volunteer program at stations throughout Onondaga County.
- Serve as liaison for Catholic Charities to represent the program, provide education, and create new partnerships with community-based volunteer sites.
- Conduct weekly site visits or maintain weekly communication with partner stations.
- Conduct recruitment events to increase volunteer numbers.
- Assist volunteers with applications and paperwork submission.
- Work with RSVP team to ensure quality documentation.
- Participate in required staff meetings and trainings.
- Maintain program records and guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities of Onondaga County policies and procedures.
This position will be 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of community volunteer programs as well as services to the elderly.
