Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch.

Warehousing and Quality Control Associate Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Employees will load/unload trucks depending on need and in a timely manner. Warehousing of specific material and quality control. Manage waste disposal. Organize and put materials away in the correct areas. Sample materials to be give to the lab. Package and blend materials, as needed. Assemble/Disassemble boxes. Clean, as needed. Employees will need forklift experience. Work closely with other team members to ensure all deadlines are met, orders are filled, warehouse is clean and orderly and customers, as well as, salesmen, are happy. The employee will do whatever is needed to ensure that deadlines are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved and/or packaged.
• Warehousing of materials and quality control.
• Waste disposal.
• Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner.
• Organize and put materials away in specified areas.
• Blending and packaging, as needed.
• Opens containers to ensure material is correct.
• Collects samples of material to be tested.
• Works beside other team members.
• Cleans warehouse, as needed.
• Packages gaylords from railcars and/or bulk-trucks, and/or aids in packaging.
• Communicates efficiently with shipping office and other team members.
• Loads and unloads materials onto trucks or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by forklift.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.
• Shovels loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals, into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers such as wheelbarrows, bags, boxes, scrap truck, or barrels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $19.50 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Must have already received the COVID-19 vaccine or plan to receive it within two weeks of DOH in order to work at Lastique. Sanitizing stations.

Experience:

• Quality Control: 1 year (Preferred)
• Warehouse experience: 5 years (Required)
