Job Responsibilities
  • Medium to Heavy building maintenance functions (i.e., maintaining lights, ballasts, lens covers, plumbing, gutters, etc.).
  • Trash and garbage collection
  • Light to Medium carpentry projects.
  • Process office mail including pickup, receive, distribute, meter postage properly and post outgoing mail.
  • Shipping and receiving functions that include driving a forklift.
  • Stock and pick spare parts and literature inventory.
  • Preparation, shipping of industry show booth displays, materials, etc.
  • Mix and handle hazardous chemicals (acids, bases, etc.) for Quality Control Supplies.
  • Process and ship customer orders using computerized inventory and shipping systems.
  • Assist with inventory management/control.
  • Contribute to other related projects and plans not specifically noted but necessary to obtain the objectives of Osmose, Inc. as directed by supervisors.
  • Manage corporate and personal expenses and expenditures prudently in accordance with corporate, division, or management guidelines or directives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively work with, and maintain the confidentiality of, sensitive materials and information.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours and travel overnight as necessary to achieve desired results or as requested by management.
  • To always demonstrate a cheerful, helpful and cooperative attitude towards customers and fellow employees.
  • Maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and be sure the company’s recommendations, designs and practices (including environmental and engineering) are in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Be capable of effectively communicating in writing or speaking to various industry, customer, or employee groups.
  • Agree to and sign and comply with all corporate non-compete and secrecy agreements.
  • Knowledge of Windows NT/2000, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft applications, and UPS computer software.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, good organizational and follow-up skills, be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to be forklift certified.
