Job description
The Warehouse Associate supports the 1800flowers.com order fulfillment operations. This position is a crucial part of a team that fulfills daily flower and gift orders from our amazing customers each day. The warehouse associate will be responsible for performing a variety to daily tasks including but not limited to receiving/processing incoming freight, picking/fulfilling orders, and packing/shipping orders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily work responsibilities
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Hydrate inbound floral shipments
- Prepare, pack, scan, and ship customer orders
- Manage, organize, and retrieve stock and other needed materials
- Build flower boxes in anticipation of future orders
- Utilizes power equipment as needed
- Maintains a clean work area
- Other various tasks as assigned
- Temporary labor supervision responsibility during peak holiday weeks
- Ability to work extended hours during peak holidays to include nights and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Ability to count and record inventory
- Quality control
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for an extended amount of time
- Ability to work on your feet for an extended amount of time
- Forklift and electric pallet jack certified or ability to obtain one
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Respect for the individual
- Positive attitude and forward thinking
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
