Warehouse Associate
S.G. Torrice Company

S.G. Torrice Company is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive and put away incoming shipments including general warehouse housekeeping.

Warehouse Associate Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; prior warehouse experience a plus
• Strong technical aptitude; ability to learn/develop competency in the company’s customer system, eClipse, and American Standard / Trane parts lookup software
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must obtain forklift certification
• Must be able to work a maximum of 40 hours weekly and overtime as required

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities

• Unload incoming vendor shipments and branch transfers; note damages, shortages, and discrepancies
• Check incoming shipments against packing slips to assure shipment accuracy
• Put stock away
• Maintain warehouse in a clean, neat, and safe condition
• Perform basic cleaning/maintenance/fabrication tasks including cleaning warehouse, shoveling snow, stocking counter shelves, repairing damaged equipment, fabrication of filters and sheet metal fittings as needed
• Assists in physical inventories
• Assists with counter sales
• Picks orders for delivery and branch transfers as necessary
• Makes local deliveries as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
