The capabilities of the Finishing, Dispensing, and Filtration Group go well beyond just a supplier of product. The FDF Group is made up of (6) long established businesses spread throughout the Midwest and Southeastern regions.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Make local deliveries in a company truck.
- Onsite customer filter reads and reports weekly
- Onsite customer consignment-counting and reporting
- Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Physical control of inventory locations.
- Operates pallet jacks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Operates the stretch wrap banders.
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. Familiarity with Fed X and UPS software is preferred.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to walk 4-5 miles two days a week while walking through customer site doing filter reads and reports
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Good time management skills.
- Basic math skills and/or aptitude.
- Some computer experience and aptitude Microsoft Excel a plus.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Valid Driver’s License must be willing to submit to a drug test
- Ability to work effectively with other OTC associates, customers, and vendors.
- A commitment to the concept of “doing it right the first time.
- Forklift and Trend experience a plus.
