Role Profile

Position: Warehouse Inventory Team Leader

Job Location: Norwalk, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Status: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

This position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to hands on inventory management. This role reports to the Fabrication Center Manager.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Assigns duties to inventory team
• Monitors inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
• Evaluates deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
• Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
• Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
• Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
• Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
• Assists in training of new inventory employees.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Leads physical inventory counts/cycle counts
• Performs other related duties as required

Skills and Abilities

• Strong skills will include verbal and written communications, cross-functional leadership, data management and analysis, relationship development and process management/improvement, and balance by the ability to effectively perform in a team-based operations environment.
• Able to interact with other local departments, such as, Production and Engineering in a positive and constructive manner for the betterment of the overall organization.
• Excellent ability to speak and communicate effectively with both senior management and production workforce.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of personal computer applications required (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and ERP system), Strong Excel skills preferred.
• The ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Prefer candidate will be experienced in Gasket (or similar equipment) manufacturing environment
