The Warehouse Manager performs a variety of duties to oversee the direction, planning, and organization of the Warehouse and Shipping Department.

About the Job:

The job responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Runs weekly customer spreadsheets to determine what items to ship
• Develops weekly trailer schedule
• Monitors specials report to determine when customer orders are available to ship
• Arranges carrier pick ups for all full trailer loads
• Completes bills of lading and ship notifies all full trailer load shipments
• Makes regular periodic audits of the warehouse and checks orders pulled for shipment
• Works with carrier account representative to investigate and solve shipping problems
• Negotiates shipping charges with carrier account representatives for full load trailers
• Works with customer service to solve problems with customer orders
• Works with production to determine production scheduling
• Completes annual Performance Evaluations for all assigned employees
• Organizes and manages yearly warehouse inventory
• Works on special projects as assigned
• Ensures that all company policies and procedures are followed
• Reports any nonconforming condition to Operation’s Manager, Manufacturing
• Ensures that department personnel comply with all safety rules and policies
• Follows all safety rules and policies and takes action to correct all unsafe conditions
• Ensures that all equipment within the department is properly maintained and takes steps to correct any problems which may arise
• Maintains 7S system
• Makes process improvement recommendations
• Maintains a neat and orderly department
• Attends all required meetings unless excused by management
• Participates in all training as required
• Fills in for warehouse lead person or clerk when absent

About You:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years management experience in warehouse operations
• Effectively lead and work with a group of people with diverse abilities and backgrounds
• Basic computer skills including MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook
• Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot warehouse problems
• Negotiate with trucking companies to produce the best possible freight rates
• Possess or be able to obtain, equipment certification
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Efficiently work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
