DESCRIPTION:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for reducing costs/P&L performance, efficiencies, safety, service, strategic planning and projects, as well as team development This position will operate in a safe, yet an extremely high paced, fluid environment. At the core, you must have the ability to safely optimize people and technology while ensuring quality in everything we do. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of operations of the warehouse, employees and to ensure compliance with all company policies.
FUNCTIONS:

  • Effectively and safely manage the day-to-day operations in the Dairy and Grocery Departments by monitoring workflows, accuracy, and productivity of warehouse associates.
  • Provide leadership for large employee populations in non-exempt positions and direct reports in exempt positions that both maximize and optimize resources in support of serving the customer.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to manage inventory control and distribution activities throughout the warehouse.
  • Responsible for training and cross training employees in all functions selection, checking, loading and Hilo
  • Ensures safety and all other policies are implemented and followed consistently
  • Conduct accident investigation per company guidelines, and use judgment and discretion to make findings and document them
  • Meet with shift supervisors to plan the day’s workload

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations or related field strongly preferred
  • Must have 5 years of management and warehousing experience including, but not limited to, retail distribution, logistics, warehouse operations and transportation management.
  • Superb people skills in mentoring, coaching/counseling, motivation, performance management, and employee relations
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement, provides accurate reporting, and utilize data.
  • Must have impeccable communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus but not required
