Dave’s Cabinet is looking to hire a Shipping associate. This is a great role for those looking to grow within our company. Expect to be professionally certified in multiple areas, and discuss growth with consistent performance reviews.

Dave’s Cabinet utilizes their own drivers and trucks to perform deliveries of materials to customers through out the Hampton Roads, and outer banks area. Materials can include; Cabinetry, Interior Doors, and Interior/exterior trim. The shipping associate’s main responsibility is assisting the driver in delivery, and receipt of these materials. There are no overnights in this position. When not on the road, the shipping associate assists in our regular operations.

 Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages within the company

 Maintain the shipping area through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis

 Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments

 Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling

 Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems

 Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints within the department that arise and work to solve them

 Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
