As a Water Treatment Engineer Senior you create chemistry by…

• Developing analyses that consider the entire water distribution with potential failure impacts in downstream systems to ensure the water treatment concept is established and maintained to reduce risk and prevent unnecessary plant failures to drive plant reliability.
• Contributing to project teams by working as subject matter expert to apply and develop knowledge and skills in areas that focus on industrial water quality and treatment.
• Participating as the technical lead for treatability studies, pilot studies, water/ wastewater sampling and analysis, and water treatment alternatives evaluation.
• Providing guidance regarding chemical cleaning for equipment to support reduction of fouling while maintaining the integrity of the downstream equipment.
• Documenting, developing, and providing training for the North American community regarding water treatment concepts through development of best practices, handbooks, and quality/audit controls.
• Establishing and coordinate a North American Technical Network (NATN) or Community of Practice for Utilities concepts.
• Working closely with procurement water treatment representatives to ensure a partnership for development and review of vendor service level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• A bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or other related engineering or science discipline such as Chemistry,
• At least 10 years of combined experience in detail design process engineering associated with water and wastewater management and operations within a utilities unit which included Cogen/Boiler/Cooling Tower equipment.
• Corrosion control, scaling/fouling control, and other water system damage mechanism efficiency concepts.
• Experience managing activities and projects through execution into operation.
• High level of self-motivation and ability to motivate others,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to travel across North American region.
