About The Position:

The Web Specialist is responsible for management and publication of content on Ameren.com, consistent with current best practices, established processes and direction of the over-arching web content strategy. As a critical member of the web team in Ameren Communications, the web specialist will work in tandem with the web content strategist to execute on the vision of the web content strategy by leveraging insights and tapping the expertise of our Digital partners to collectively manage the needs of the business and the end-to-end customer experience on the website.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Create, publish and manage content on Ameren.com in web content management system (WCS); QA/Test for accuracy and compliance with brand standards, best practices and content strategy, including SEO, ADA and necessary tracking considerations
  • Manage requests for ongoing web content updates, communicating with stakeholders as needed to execute with accuracy inside established turnaround timelines
  • Regularly monitor site data including Google Analytics Dashboards, Google Search Console and internal search tool on Ameren.com to identify risks and optimization opportunities
  • Engage in strategic planning for larger web projects and multi-channel campaigns, advising on the capability of the content management system and offering counsel on a content plan that will meet the needs of both the business and our customers
  • Represent the interests of Communications-driven needs on Ameren.com by logging and reporting WCS functionality issues or necessary fixes to Digital partners and participating in routine discussions around prioritization of competing needs in the backlog
  • Conduct rolling, annual content audit and execute updates, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Marketing/Advertising, Journalism, Information Technology or related field required. Three or more years of experience managing content and production for a corporate business to consumer website required. Experience with at least one enterprise-level web content management system required, such as Sitecore (strongly preferred), Adobe Experience Manager and/or Tridion. Basic knowledge of SEO and web analytics required. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS required. Experience with project management platforms and Agile Methodology preferred.
