SUMMARY

Responsible for website management for environmental remediation and clean-up projects in support of the NAVY Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program Management Office (PMO). Assist with developing and updating content for the BRAC PMO website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

• Review and update content of the BRAC public website, as required.
• Review the current BRAC public website architecture and design for usability and provide recommendations in a report for implementation as required.
• Use website analytic tools; create metrics reports; and provide analysis to improve website communications.
• Using the Armed Forces Public Information Management System and the GovDelivery, Digital Communications platform.
• Utilize HTML and MS Sharepoint, and other supporting online coding languages to present and post Navy BRAC projects.
• Formatting and developing templates for internal communication use.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory/management authority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Programming, Communications or equivalent subject area from an accredited college.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience with Department of Defense Agencies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to pass a Department of Defense security investigation in support of access to limited privilege and sensitive information with no access to classified information.
• Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager Application (Adobe CQ-5), HTML, or a similar website software application.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
• Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen.
• Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently blocked from enforcement pending court proceedings. Therefore, Cherokee Federal is halting the application of the mandate; however, if the injunction is lifted, Cherokee Federal will restore administration of the vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in an office setting with teleworking available.
