Job description
The qualified candidate will have 2-5 years’ experience, be a team player and work independently.
Qualifications :
- Must have MIG welding certification.
- Familiar with machine shop environment.
- Experience/knowledge of working with carbon steels and stainless steel are essential.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
Responsibilities :
- Weld components together, using mig process.
- Fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints and work order samples.
- Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, increase size of metal parts, etc.
- Locate and repair cracks using inspection equipment and gas torch.
- Ensure gases are properly stored.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Perform in-process inspection of equipment.
- Perform other duties as needed.*
General Shop Maintenance Helper duties:
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Empties steel chip hoppers from machines.
2. Sweeps and mops general shop areas, cafeteria, shop, and bathrooms.
3. Empties garbage cans into trash hoppers.
4. Maintains outside surroundings of building including sweeps parking lot and disposes of old pallets.
5. Performs routine walk-throughs to maintain clean shop environment.
6. Functions may include, but are not limited to racking parts, unloading, put-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, auditing, cycle counting, shipping making boxes, etc.
Physical, drug screen and background check required.
