• $100 a week attendance bonus, up to $5,200 per year
• Two weeks paid vacation
• +$2 /hr. night shift premium
• Wages from $17 /hr., up to $23 /hr.

The Position: Your hard-earned skills will help Great Dane in a whole host of ways. As a welder, you’ll perform general welding assignments for any/all areas of the plant in order to support our production goals.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Use pneumatic power tools and equipment of all types.
• Accurately read a tape measure.
• Perform and remember how to perform multiple tasks from day to day.
• Weld on a flat, curved or vertical surface.
• Know how to:
• Set a welding machine, including the gas, volts, amps, and wire speed.
• Ability to weld in a variety of positions, particularly overhead.
• Be able to make minor adjustments to the welding equipment as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• File, grinds or scrapes sharp edges, burrs, scales or rust from work pieces.
• Properly load raw materials, parts, into the welding machine.
• Remove work piece and scrap from machines.
• Hammer out bent or warped spots in metal.
• Sort, mark, tag finished work.
• Transport material or signal crane operator to move materials.
• Compare work piece with straight edge or template to verify conformance to specifications.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
