DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Represent philosophy of Hope Haven in all interactions externally and internally.

2. Must work with other staff in utilizing warehouse handling and storage techniques. 3. Technical skills must include ability to count and manage inventory in maintaining adequate supply.

4. Ability to obtain and understand wheelchair production and assembly processes resulting in efficient and timely manufacturing output. 5. Must be able to qualify for to work in prison 1-2 days a week and support production staff.

6. Skills must include ability to understand machining calculation, calibration, and troubleshooting in assuring quality production of wheelchairs. 7. Ability to drive 26 foot truck to pick up and deliver supplies.

Lifting required. 8. Boxing and shipping of refurbished chairs and supplies for shipment 9. Provide support to staff and volunteers involved in wheelchair production and operating equipment in shops.

10. Follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding operation of trucks. 11. Follow all safety procedures and promote safety procedures.

12. Regular and reliable attendance is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Requires the physical ability to load and/or unload a complete 40 foot container of wheelchairs and related equipment including lifting a minimum of 60 lbs.

2. Requires the physical ability operate forklift light machinery. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Excellent organization and documentation skills including some computer tasks.

2. Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to acquire Class D license. Is an insurable driver with Hope Haven’s insurance company. Able to obtain and maintain “DOT Card” as required by current laws/regulations.

3. Valid forklift operator’s license. 4. Committed to a team approach.

Pleasant and cooperative attitude. 5. Clearance from a criminal background check and abuse reporting check at time of hire. 6.

Negative drug screening and up to date physical. 7. High moral standards and ethical practices; willing to commit himself/herself without reservation to the stated Christian purpose of the agency. 8.

Ability to follow up and communicate effectively with volunteers and co-workers is a must. Working with volunteers means the need for some flexible hours. 9. Willing to supervise inmates and complete training with the South Dakota DOC.
