Window Cleaner
Where: Lakewood, WA (Joint Base Lewis-McChord)
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $20.00/hr
Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Skookum is seeking a motivated and reliable Window Cleaner with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Cleans windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and other glass surfaces of building interior or exterior.
• Use various types of window cleaning equipment to include squeegee, Tucker Pole, and other specialized equipment.
• Must be able to use ladders/ elevated platforms of various heights to clean windows if needed.
• Required to remove/ replace window screens.
• Maintain window cleaning equipment in good repair.
• Communicates with customers – maintains windows schedule, to include coordinating with the customer, in a courteous and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• 1-year previous janitorial experience is preferred; specialized vocational, technical, or other formal training may be substituted in part for experience.
• Ability to read safety labels/ MSDS and communicate effectively either verbally or in a written format.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• Valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance carrier.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
