Worship Leader Job-Description
General Overview
Abundant Life Church is seeking a full and/or part-time creative and experienced worship leader to enhance the weekend service experience. In collaboration with the Senior Pastor(s) and Directors of Weekend Services and Worship, this person will support Senior Leadership and Directors in creating an immersive ministry environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, vision, and passion for Abundant Life Church in the areas of music and worship ministries that is in line with the overall vision, purpose, and mission of our church.
- Proficient in leading worship with a strong vocal ability and an authentic stage presence.
- Candidate must also display competency in instrumental abilities.
- Facilitate weekend worship services including, but not limited to:
- Leading weekend worship services vocally and musically
- Develop current and future worship teams
- Scheduling instrumentalists and vocalists
- Lead weekly rehearsals
- Consult with the weekend servies team to coordinate worship theme
- Design and build tracks for weekend services in Ableton
- Collaborate with Technical and Media Directors for service planning
- This position reports directly to Senior Pastor(s) and Director of Worship and Weekend Services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years ministry experience in an church of at least 500 attendees
- Must be musically proficient (have an understanding of basic music theory) and be able to lead vocally
- Have the ability to coach and lead a band
- Be proficient in the following tools: Planning Center, ProPresenter, Ableton
- Knowledge of digital audio systems and software preferred
