Mitchell Plastics in Sterling Heights is looking for motivated team members to join our Sales Team as an Account Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Account Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Identify key individuals within customer organizations, develop and establish positive relationships at all levels
- Work closely with the management team to ensure the strategic goals of the organization are met including but not limited to the booked business plan.
- Secure future business; identify future business opportunities within customer base
- Track current and future sales at each customer to ensure we are on track for booked business plan.
- Identify key competitors at each customer responsible for and understand their competitive offerings, locations, programs, etc.
- Responsible for quoting and financial recovery of all open commercial issues associated with current and future business to include tool monies, engineering change monies, packaging cost recovery, cancelation claims, and any other open commercial issues that come up with each customer sales manager is responsible for.
- Manage customer score card for quality, delivery, cost and any other inputs that affect our score. Establish an action plan with appropriate Mitchell personnel to ensure timely reporting of key metrics
- Business or technical degree from an accredited university or college
- 2 or more years in automotive sales and/or engineering position with emphasis on vehicle interior plastic products
- Experience with Stellantis, Ford, GM and additional OEM experience preferred
- Experience with Interior automotive decorative and functional components such as: IP finish panels, consoles, air registers
- Must be able to travel to all Mitchell Plastics locations including Canada and Mexico
