Hiring Salary Range
: $33,097.00 - $39,106.00 Full Salary Range: $33,097.00 - $54,314.00

The Administrative Assistant position serves as the receptionist for the Collections Division. The position handles all incoming calls on three main phone lines, greets/directs all walk-in customers, and assists customers via phone and in person, answering basic questions and concerns regarding parking ticket fines, miscellaneous billings, and special assessments. Assists the Delinquent Collection Section with all clerical/administrative duties. Assists the Permit Technician with determining and issuing the appropriate privilege license/business permit to businesses in the City of Greensboro while maintaining compliance with the NC General Statutes and Chapter 13 of the City Code of Ordinances . Ability to communicate clearly, and effectively while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • 1-3+ years of customer service (i.e, clerical/administrative duties, data entry, filing, etc.) in a "professional" office environment
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience with operating multi-line telephone systems

An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications) :
  • Knowledge of multiple web-based software systems
  • Knowledge of correct license/permit classifications associated with NC General Statutes and Chapter 13 of the City of Greensboro Code of Ordinances.
