Job Overview
- Ensures all HR programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements & meet customer's needs.
- Communicates complex HR information and concepts to the Director, senior leaders & employees through briefings & presentations.
- Develops effective plans and strategies to resolve highly complex, sensitive, and/or controversial HR issues.
- Studies, analyzes, develops, and recommends new or improved management and/or administrative instructions, policies, plans, procedures, and practices in the areas of manpower, personnel, position management, awards and other related program areas.
- Performs duties in support of overall division & directorate programs, projects, and initiatives.
- Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies OPM, DoD, AF, AFMC, AFRL and local regulatory guidance and policy directives pertaining to the manpower/personnel functional areas.
- Responsible for organizational and manpower change requests to modify the structure and positions within AFWERX. -Manages the Reserve IMA/MPA requirements for the organization.
- Serves as the Lab Demo Contribution-based Compensation System Coordinator and DPMAP performance assessment coordinator for the unit.
- Makes decisions and recommendations regarding the propriety of organizational, supervisory, and employee transactions and processes.
- Analyzes reports and statistical information on the organization, management, and personnel to discern the factual status of transactions, manning postures, etc., and to project trends and troubleshoot problems.
- Provides special support and counsel in areas of expertise to supervisors for the resolution of challenging and complex issues.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the DO-02/GS-13 or equivalent grade level
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Human Resources is highly desired
- Ability to quickly develop electronic analyses, reports and to report to AFWERX, AFRL, AFMC, AF officials and DoD on status of AFWERX hiring or personnel manning
- Skill to communicate effectively with AFWERX or AFRL Senior Leaders on civilian personnel matters
- Knowledge of available AF direct hire and expedited hire authorities, OPM qualification standards, and civilian fill process and other related personnel matters.
- Pay Range: DO-03, $96,864 - $136,885 (base salary) - total salary will be determined on employee location
