Job description
We are hiring a temporary worker to help with an artificial intelligence (AI) model to develop a plant inventory system. This position will be responsible for labeling and preparing images to be run in the modeling software. This position would work independently under the direction of a project leader to complete the required tasks. This position will be working out of the Ridgeville, SC corporate office with the ability to also work remotely.
This position is ideal for a college student that can work independently.
- Label images to identify pine seedlings being grown in a plant nursery setting.
- Create two datasets of labelled images: early season and late season.
- Manually process up to 1,000 images to prepare for AI model development.
- Keep images organized and labeled for project use.
- Basic background with computers.
- Experience with python, labeling, basic computer programming.
- Ability to work on a repetitive task for extended time periods.
- Attention to detail.
- Position requires someone who can work independently, manage time, and is self-motivated.
- Good communication skills to report any issues, provide updates, and ask questions about the project tasks.
