About this Position:

The Assistant Manager of Logistics Planning will oversee a team of 5 that will collectively work to: forecast volume and costs (with primary responsibility for profitability), identify opportunities and to implement changes to improve cost, service, and quality in the auto logistics supply chain from plant to dealer. Will help to shape strategy for current and future auto supply chain (distribution network from plant to dealer), continuous improvement activities for cost, service and quality, primary source for market cost research, contract negotiation and execution, and project management and team leadership for new system implementations for data analytics.

Responsibilities include:

• Financial: Volume forecasting and analysis; conduct through analysis of all aspects of costs and variances
• Supply Chain Planning: Responsible for planning of routing for current distribution network (auto hauling from plant to dealers) and operational efficiencies for current supply chain and future projects or facilities.
• Distribution Network Continuous Improvement, and Contingency Planning & Countermeasures
• Serve as primary liaison to vendors to maintain contracts and vendor partnerships (Rates, Terms & Conditions) and RFP's

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

• 10 years: Managing People & Planning/Operational Teams
• Project Management, Financial Management,
• Honda Experience and/or Contracts, Automotive, Logistics, Negotiating

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Logistics external job experience considered supplemental (but not a substitute)

Desired skills:

• Exhibit clear communication and attention for detail
• Possess both long-term vision and the tactical ability to anticipate / quickly assess problems or seize opportunities
• Ability to lead collaborative efforts and focus the team

• Competitive Base Salary: $89,100 - $133,600
  • Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
