Job Summary:
Picking, loading, and delivering parts to wholesale customers is a great way to learn about all aspects of the auto parts business. Most automotive parts professionals start out as parts delivery drivers.
Responsibilities
- Report to work as scheduled.
- Work with parts staff to determine the delivery schedule and priorities for the day.
- Load the delivery vehicle with parts in an efficient, orderly manner.
- Organize paperwork and ensure that it matches what is set up for delivery.
- Reconcile money received with invoices and parts delivered.
- Handle customer returns ina respectful organized manner, according to company and department policies and guidelines.
- Whenever possible, develop new business
Qualifications
- Valid New York State driver's license and a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior professional friving experience preferred.
- Strong communication and time amnagement skills.
- Ability to use computers and calculators.
- Desire to keep repair shop customers happy with fast, efficient service.
- Have the ability to learn automotive computers and parts numbering systems.
- Some knowledge and interest in cars.
- Neat and professional appearance and demenaor.
