Job description
Responsible for assisting in the coordination of behavioral services for people supported as identified through close work with the person and their family/caregivers. Evaluates specific challenge areas and offers recommendations and positive approaches through written documents and direct interactions, to assist with behavior support and development of new skills that will enhance the person’s quality of life. Provides direct supervision and consultation to family and caregivers on the implementation of the written plan.Master’s Degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, or school psychology, OR NYS license in Mental Health Counseling OR National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA). Two to three years experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Training and experience in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development preferred.
