Polymedco is located in northern Westchester County in the town of Cortlandt Manor, New York.

We are currently looking for a Biomedical Service Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Responsibilities include traveling, installing, training, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on all company diagnostic instrumentations on-site and off-site.

-Responsible for high quality day to day phone support responding to customer inquiries, providing technical support, customer training on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

-Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, a team player, and the ability to operate with minimum supervision.

-Work on new test systems, make recommendations and assist in developing and writing test procedures, standard operations protocol, and develop training material.

-The work hours are 9:00 am - 6:00 pm; additional hours as needed.

-Occasionally scheduled in advance on-call 24/7 (few times/year) and when needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

-Strong knowledge of medical instrument systems technology to include mechanical, electrical and fluidics. Knowledge of chemistry and software is a plus.

-Strong knowledge of lab equipment and tools such as: soldering irons, digital volt meters, power supplies, temperature measurement equipment, Etc.

-Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot and re-assemble instrument sub-assemblies.

-Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interface with customers and associates in a positive professional manner.

-Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

-The ability to think and act in a logical and methodical way.

-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to utilize computer-based tools for reports, e-mail and for general communication.

-Have the ability to solve complex mechanical / system problems utilizing technical manuals, publications, and engineering support.

Qualifications: Qualified candidate must have a Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of servicing clinical diagnostic and laboratory equipment, bachelor’s degree in EE, Biomedical Engineering preferred, Medical Technology or equivalent years of experience.

-Must be able to assist with lifting and transporting equipment of up to 100 pounds.

Travel: 25-50% without any restrictions. Must be Covid 19 vaccinated

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
