Optimus Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center with sites operating in Bridgeport, Stamford and Stratford, CT. We are the largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County, proudly serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay. We are presently looking to add a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst to our quality team.

Our Business Intelligence Analysts are responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop data-driven immersive stories that answer tough business questions. As a BI Analyst you will work with business stakeholders and data teammates analyzing business requirements for data analytics projects supporting multiple functional teams. You will utilize data analysis skills from every step of the analytics pipeline (collection, wrangling, cleaning, analysis, modeling, visualization, presentation) to create data products that drive business value and will support our clinical operations to provide a safe and efficient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and perform studies to model and analyze clinical and operational performance (e.g. population health management indicators, resource allocation, access, gaps, etc.)
  • Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their analysis needs, plan analysis tasks, and lead small teams to deliver valuable findings to stakeholders
  • Present findings to key stakeholders assessing enterprise performance under a variety of configuration options to drive decision making

Core set of desired skills Understanding of system databases, data elements and application software solutions to optimize data gathering and analysis,

  • Experience with data analytics and/or visualization tools (Power BI) and solving business problems using data sets,
  • Understands the data lifecycle and can interpret and communicate data
• Experience working with cross-functional, diverse, and virtual teams • Ability to partner with stakeholders and peers (operational managers and clinical leaders) to identify and solve a business problem,
• Knowledge of Agile development processes and tools • Strong learning mentality with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems/Sciences, Mathematics, Quantitative Social Science or other relevant area, and at least 2 years of experience, or a master's degree with no experience.
