Job description
The IT Business Intelligence Developer will work in IS team develop, implement and make operational solutions for various departments using Qlik. The position will serve as the subject expert as it relates to Qlik. In addition, this position will be responsible to identify and document information technology design specifications based on analysis/assessment of user needs and generate need-gap analyses.
In addition, this role ensuring data integrity, maintaining system security, extracting, analyzing and transforming data. The IT Business Intelligence Developer also understands the functional workflow and processes of the Departments he/she supports and maintains system functionality leverage USC’s various technologies including but not limited to QlikView, Cerner Command Language (CCL) and other applications, Hadoop and DBMS.

- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 2 years of relevant experience including system design, documentation, maintenance, implementation, upgrades and troubleshooting required with at least 6 months of Qlik experience.
- Experience with Structured Query Language (MS SQL Server, Oracle) required
- Knowledge of concepts of Data Lake, Kimbal, Bill Inmon models of Data warehouse in the healthcare settings.
- Experience in using Hadoop Hive/Impala as data platform for the Qlik reports/dashboards.
- Knowledge in extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from multiple sources into Qlik applications; perform data testing and quality analysis
- Knowledge in designing, developing, and testing Qlik scripts and User interfaces
- Knowledge of full software development cycle, programming and documentation policies in software development, testing and release
- Should be able to interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents · Aware of current Data visualization standards of quality coding practice Functional/Soft Skills
- Must have ability to communicate well with personnel at all levels of the organization
- Exemplifies excellent analytical, and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong documentation skills
- Works effectively as a team member, reports on status of projects, and represents the team in meetings.
- Motivates staff to the desired level of support, use and cooperation in accordance with IS and strategic initiatives
- Can meet with customers, understand business problems, provide guidance with data, tell stories with data, and build business intelligence content

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
