Case Manager: Housing Intervention

WHAT You’ll Do as a Caseworker:
- Build relationships with landlords and understand the local resources in order to braid available funding streams without duplicating services; provide specialized knowledge on housing resources and opportunities to the provider community and clients.
- Maintain communication and participate in weekly scheduled supervision with agency supervisor and the program coordinator to keep them informed of program activities/developments, be prepared with an agenda, and bring information/situations of concern to the attention of the supervisor/coordinator immediately.
- Successfully engage clients and initiate them into the program, establish goals and identify methods of intervention with families, evaluate progress towards goals and modification of services as needed.
- Aid in the remediation of barriers associated with housing instability by addressing issues related to transportation, childcare, employment, and education services.
- Represent the program and agency in a professional manner, network and maintain positive relationships with community resources, and arrange referrals with families to these resources as needed.
- Complete and maintain paperwork and records in accordance and compliance with program protocols and expectations, keeping them current and up to date, with timely recordings of all contacts and needs pertaining to the families.

1. Before you apply, please make sure you understand the minimum requirements for this position:
- The incumbent of this position is required to have a minimum of a associate degree with at least 1 year of experience. The degree should be in social work, or a related field, from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of local community resources, family dynamics, behavioral support, and community-based case management.
- Experience providing family support services, lived experience or knowledge of homelessness and the public housing system preferred,
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills is required.
- An excellent driving record, reliable car and proper liability insurance on his/her vehicle is also necessary.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
