The Certified Medical Assistant Essential Duties and Functions:
We are looking for a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant for our East Norriton, PA office and join our amazing team!
The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing direct support to the practice physician and office staff including clinical and clerical functions in relations to patient care. This position functions under the direct supervision of the practice physician for all patient care activities.
A few responsibilities of the Certified Medical Assistant include but are not limited to:
- Greet and room patients
- Review medical history with patient using intake form
- Assist physician as needed for non-surgical treatment of sports injuries, musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative disease related pain
- Assist physician with medication injections, evaluations, and fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures.
- Electronic medical record (EMR) input, retrieve imaging studies from systems. Computerized medical management system for demographics and scheduling
- Precertification of injections, MRI's, medications, and procedures.
The Certified Medical Assistant Qualifications:
- Must have valid Certificate in Medical Assisting
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred
- Must be responsive and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in work.
- Computer Proficiency; experience with Allscripts or another Electronic Medical Record highly preferred.
- Ability to work with teammates.
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
- Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
- Exhibit exemplary customer service skills.
