Our client seeking an ambitious, experienced Shipping Clerks- 2nd and 3rd Shifts (pay starting at $16.50) for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.

Responsibilities:

• Point of contact for Supervisors, Managers, and Engineers concerning shipping status
• Ensuring compliance of daily schedule / shipping plans
• Resource for emergency shipments and expedites
• Resource for training / coaching new shipping employees
• Coordination of incoming trucks and allotment of dock space as required
• Monitoring the smooth flow of FG being shipped to customers daily
• Strong shipping knowledge in sequencing and rans, proper handling and completion of shipping documents, including bills-of-lading, ASN’s, processing of returned loads, including dunnage
• Clerical duties, filing, faxing, 5s, emails, scanning
• Work in SAP to process and print packing slips
• Maintain shipping logs and files
• Identify freight terms, transport carrier and other special shipping instructions via domestic or international
• Process requirements for customers, print pick list, bar code label
• Traffic control
• Any other duties assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong Shipping Knowledge
• Computer / System skills – RASN, SAP, ASN, Excel, Word
• Strong Attention to detail and follow through
• Well organized - Customer Service
• Ability to execute activities to achieve department objectives, work under pressure and within deadlines
• Self-driven, able to multi task and provide a positive team environment
• Consistently identify opportunities for improvement
