Position Title: Processing Operator
Department: Operations
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager
Summary: We are a chemical manufacturer that is responsible for helping farmers feed 2.5 million people on a daily basis based on our impact on the Ag industry. As a process operator, you’ll have the opportunity to work along with a team that is responsible for safely handling customer materials according to the processing instructions. As an end result, we deliver exceptional products to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other Duties may be assigned.
1. Read, interpret, and follow batching and packaging instruction sheets.
2. Obtain raw materials from staging area.
3. Measure raw materials and mix according to batching instructions.
4. Package finished goods or Work-in-Process into containers specified.
5. Label containers.
6. Seal and palletize products.
7. Record information regarding raw material usage and finished products on packaging sheets and pallet summaries.
8. Clean up around area.
9. Clean out tanks and filling equipment.
10. Batching operators may be asked to fulfill packaging job duties when necessary.
11. Drive Forklift.
12. Operate hoists.
13. Dispose of waste materials properly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Processing Operators may be responsible for assisting with training and supervision of temporary or new employees.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Georgia Work Ready Test required. Minimum Work
Ready Scores: Graphic Literacy: 3, Applied Math: 4, Workplace Documents: 3.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret packaging sheets and SDSs. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and visitors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and interpret scales.
