Community Patrol - Assistant Ops Manager
Job description
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES:
· Lead, manage and motivate Community Patrol Staff providing oversight, support and resources.
· Must have a thorough understanding of Bonita Bay Community Associations customer service philosophy.
· Assist the Operations Manager in the management and supervision of the Community Patrol Department on an as necessary basis.
· Available and on-call 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to support staff as needed.
· Always have a clean neat appearance.
· Excellent report writing skills and the ability to assist CPO’s in writing their reports.
· Have a good working knowledge of all posts and Community Patrol functions.
NATURE OF POSITION:
· Scheduling, Training, Evaluating, staff, Personnel
· To supervise Community Patrol Officers and make administrative decisions in the everyday operations of Community Patrol Department.
· Review and evaluate reports prepared by staff. Conduct follow-up investigation of criminal activity.
· Work directly with the Ops Manager & Director of Safety to overseeing daily operations and special projects assigned to the Community Patrol Department.
· Oversee control access to Bonita Bay, allowing entrance to only authorized individuals.
· Continuously train and improve staff knowledge and customer service
· Occasionally patrol the property, ensuring all Community buildings, construction areas, residences are safe and secure to the extent of our abilities. Reporting suspicious and/or unlawful acts to local law enforcement.
· Responsible for Ordering and maintaining supplies
· Responsible for vehicle maintenance schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Requires a valid Florida driver’s license
· Position requires a minimum 3 years in the security field as a supervisor, or 5 years verifiable supervisor experience in any field. Military law / Law Enforcement a plus
· High School diploma, College a plus, not required
· Requires management, leadership, people skills, verbal and written communicative skills.
· Requires excellent customer service skills.
· Requires general knowledge of computers and hardware to include: Proficiency, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Security Access Systems, and internet navigation / research
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.05 per hour
