PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To perform all housekeeping at the Home Office and other assigned facilities in timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES – This is a Salary Non-Exempt Position
Cleans breakroom, all office areas and other areas as needed or required by mopping, sweeping, and dusting.
Empties both wastebasket and recycle containers daily in all areas. Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains daily.
Cleans and disinfects all restrooms and replenishes supplies daily. Vacuums all areas weekly.
Cleans out refrigerators weekly. Uses cleaning equipment and chemicals in a manner prescribed by Company and/or
manufacturer. Accomplishes quality performance in all responsibilities being performed in a manner which meets or
exceeds all facility and company guidelines for a total quality program of continuous process improvement and
customer relations.

Meets safety requirements in accomplishing responsibilities of this position complying with all policies or
regulations set forth by Simmons or various government agencies concerning safety, environment, vehicles, handling
of food products, packaging, ingredients and any related items. Accomplishes any other related duties as directed by
supervisor.

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation
of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends
appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g.,
direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack
cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to
resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger
organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems
(e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with
the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual
actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives: This position description is intended to

Physical Activities: Walking, bending, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of supplies or trash at
various times throughout the shift. Work with and dispose of cleaning chemicals.

Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.

Travel: May require local travel to area facilities.

Technical Experience: Will understand the operations of equipment needed to perform job and operate them safely.
