Stearns and Company Insurance Services is a rapidly growing independent insurance agency which specializes in providing personal insurance solutions for high-net-worth individuals (including entertainers, athletes, and other well-to-do professionals) and commercial insurance solutions for various business clientele across most industries.

The Customer Service Representative’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and contribute to our collective new business efforts across personal and commercial lines. You'll be corresponding with insureds, underwriters, wholesalers, and business managers to win new business and retain renewals.

The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years’ experience with personal insurance (homeowners, auto, umbrella, personal article floaters, and earthquake), and some experience with commercial lines of insurance. Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact for insureds, underwriters, and intermediaries to push new and renewal business efforts forward.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to advocate for clientele interests and ensure that all exposures and coverage priorities are addressed.
- Present quotes, binders, policies, and certs of insurance to insureds and their stakeholders.
- Report to team and to clientele on policy status, renewal rates, and update related reference tools.
- Build upon and maintain strong, long-lasting client and other business relationships.
- Utilize your own creativity to contribute to the company’s efforts to serve new and existing clients, optimize processes, and continue to grow
Qualifications
- 1+ years of proven work experience as a CSR or similar role within the insurance industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for correspondence with clients, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with insurance industry/agency management software (AIM, HawkSoft, Epic, AMS or similar software)
- Experience with Microsft Office applications, and Adobe
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Property & Casualty License preferred, but we can train and help to obtain if not currently held
