Job description
- Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager provides inside sales support for assigned territory, accounts, and product lines to assure total customer satisfaction.
- Support the efforts of the Regional Sales Managers by providing responses to customer inquiries for orders, quotations and product information.
- Individual will have a good working knowledge on all product lines. Provide pricing backup for other unassigned territories when required.
- Handle inquiries for the product line, which would involve some technical aptitude/knowledge on all products.
- Serve as a direct interface with customers, sales representatives and distributors to coordinate with other departments to assure effective resolution of all requests and/or issues.
- Process all orders for the specific territory, accounts and product lines to ensure accuracy on products and pricing, delivery requirements are met, expediting when necessary, processing order changes and maintaining orders in the system.
- Prepare estimates by gathering engineering requirements, production schedules and revenue expectations.
- Champion quotes through internal system and follow up with required action.
- Input quotes in the “Quote Tracking System”, over a specific dollar value or those that require engineering interface to ensure correct product is recommended to customers and dollar revenues are tracked and reported to management.
- Work with Regional Managers and Representatives to follow-up on quotes and to report on wins and loses.
- In the absence of the Regional Sales Manager, support assigned territory accounts, by monitoring and responding to all incoming requests for the territory.
- Work with Regional Managers to provide reliable forecast information and monitor incoming monthly orders, to review status of territory forecast with Regional Managers.
- Follow-up with Representatives on sales leads to ensure customers receive requested product literature and that the Reps follow up the lead to promote product, increasing dollar revenue.
- Maintain copies of any Annual Contract file or special pricing agreements for all customer agreements for specific territory/accounts or product lines.
- Advice pricing coordinator whenever any changes or problems with contracts or agreements arise to ensure all information in the Computer System agrees with written contracts and agreements.
- Interface with all other departments in handling any and all customer issues including credit problems, order processing, literature, issuance of return authorization requests, tracking returns receipt return to repair and re-shipment, quality issues, corrective actions, production/operation, shipping/routing issues and working with carriers in obtaining proof of delivery and obtaining freight charges for shipping products or arranging for material to be picked up for return to factory.
