Under the direct supervision of the Information Security Administrator, the Cyber Security Analyst provides network security analysis, monitoring, and incident response, as well as maintenance and configuration of network security tools. Security Analysts work with the latest technologies to detect, analyze, and limit intrusions and security events. This position would be a direct liaison between internal staff and an outside Incident Response Team in the event of a major breach.

• Perform cyber security monitoring and incident response recording and reporting
• Maintain records of security monitoring and incident response activities
• Work with System and Network administrators to monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) output
• Work with System and Network administrators to create, modify, and update IDS, IPS, and SIEM rules
• Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises through reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information
• Analyze large sets of data to discover indications of compromise
• Assists with implementation of countermeasures or mitigating controls
• Assists with creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures
• Consolidate and conduct comprehensive analysis of threat data
• Fulfill other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT (Information Technology) related discipline or equivalent experience
• Three or more years of Information Technology experience with minimum of one-year full-time security related duties
• Working knowledge of application and infrastructure security solutions (firewalls, IDS, IPS, Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Data Encryption)
• Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship

• Ability to prioritize competing work assignments and initiative to complete tasks
• Experience with vulnerability testing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, multi-function printers, and Microsoft 365 Suite of office software. This job typically follows a 38.75-hour M-F work week. Overtime and late-night work can be expected to perform maintenance or respond to emergencies. This position is on call 24x7x365. Minimal travel may be required to support this role.
