Full Time, Monday through Thursday Schedule

Position Summary:
The primary purpose of the Dental Front Office Coordinator is to schedule patients, greet patients, create and update patient files and process billing information timely and accurately to ensure the patient’s visit is smooth. The scope of the work encompasses a variety of clerical duties which promote effective and efficient operation of the practice and fosters favorable public relations with patients, parents, staff, dentists of the practice and all external customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Concentrate on scheduling efficiencies and scheduling for production
- Monitor/track various metric (ie. Cancelations, new patients, broken appointments etc.)
- Good communication with clinical staff – scheduling and patient flow and experience
- Puts new patient documents together and sends to patient via email
- Greet patients immediately upon arrival in pleasant and positive manner.
- Perform check-in procedures; obtain appropriate signatures for required documents.
- Enters New Patient into practice software.
- Transfers records to other practices no later than 1 week of request.
- Present treatment plan to patient – financial arrangements
- At check out, collect payment from patient in the form of cash, check, credit card
- Able to perform “close out” procedures at end of day.
- Perform all other duties as requested by Practice Administrator or Dentist.
- Is professional in appearance at all times.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· HS Diploma
· Dental Office experience a must
- Current dental assisting license in the state of MA preferred but not required
- XRay certification preferred but not required
- Eaglesoft experience preferred
- CPR certification
Clerical/Office Skills: PC w/Word or WordPerfect, email, typing, filing, ability to perform research to resolve problems. Eaglesoft dental practice management software experience.
Communication:Written & verbal skills required, answers telephone, email, able to fax/scan reports.
