Food service personnel that prepares food for residents, guests and employees, as well as performing tasks related to the sanitation of work areas, equipment, utensils and dishware involved in these services.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following:

1. Operates electric-powered equipment for food service and sanitation purposes safely and efficiently.

2. Portions and serves hot or cold food under supervision of cook in charge in accordance with measures of standardization and sanitation.

3. Accurately read menu cards to fill their requirements.

4. Prepares nourishments to resident areas.

5. Stocks storerooms, freezer or refrigerators after deliveries according to inventory book, and at other designated times as assigned. Record temperatures of designated refrigerators.

6. Sanitizes and stores dishware, pots and pans and utensils using dish machine or other mechanical means according to established sanitation procedures.

7. Attend daily production meeting with day cook, afternoon cook and other dietary aides. Discuss production needs to minimize waste, yet maintain food quality. Menu changes are made as necessary following established procedures. Review menu for next meal and following breakfast.

8. Sanitizes large equipment and work areas including walls, floors, and ceilings and ceiling fixtures according to established sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules.

9. Removes bagged trash to garbage dumpsters according to established procedures.

10. Performs any other duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.25 - $19.77 per hour
