About InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, a Cipla subsidiary InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is engaged in the development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of generic prescription medicines with focus on a range of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, anti-infective, CNS, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-depressants. Job Purpose:

Provide leadership to InvaGen finance function through effective forecasting, planning, budgeting and managing of financial resources to strengthen the health of the site and to deliver on key financial metrics.


Responsibilities:


  • Budgeting & Budgetary controls
  • Manage budgets for Capital Expenses (Capex Budget) & Operational Expenses (Opex Budget), Monthly Budget Vs Actual comparison reports, Budget Variance analysis & report.
  • Taking steps for variance control.

  • Costing & estimations
  • Manage new product costing estimations; and
  • Prepare monthly product-wise costing, Revenue Vs COGS comparison & analysis.

  • MIS & Reporting
  • Oversee the preparation and publication of various MIS reports for various stake holders such as Periodic Financial Statements, Monthly Profitability reports, Product-wise margin reports, Capacity Utilization, Dosage-wise Yield & Yield Variance report, Monthly Dispatch reports, amongst others.

  • Accounting, Banking & Cash Management
  • Manage accounting day-to-day processes by timely booking invoices;
  • Ensuring on time payment of accounts payables;
  • Manage and control Assets & Funds;
  • Ensure proper provisioning & periodic closing of accounts as per the decided time schedules & with adherence to AS & Guidelines issued by ICAI & the regulatory framework as well as Internal control framework of the company; and
  • Manage funds planning & management as per the requirements to ensure timely payment of all the vendors & other liabilities (PF, ESIC, licenses & Govt. dues)

  • Taxation & commercial compliances
  • Ensure timely filling of Quarterly Tax returns for commercial taxes like VAT, CST, ET as per due dates; and
  • Arrange data and information for Annual assessment of Taxes, Annual VAT Audit and other taxation related compliance on timely basis.

  • Team building & skills development
  • Oversee and regularly interact with subordinate team;
  • Identify individual level skill development needs, identify training requirements for the subordinate staff; and
  • Recommend names for various trainings based on job profile requirement as well as personal development needs.

Major Challenges:

  • Aligning priorities and driving excellence across site
  • Influencing key stakeholders with diverse viewpoints to align with the key priorities for the function
  • Ensuring smooth execution of multiple interventions in a timely manner

Requirements & Preferred Skills, Competencies, and Experience:

  • CA/ICWA or MBA in Finance will be preferred. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance (Inventory Analysis / FA booking role, product costing & analysis, Taxation, Compliances) will be preferred
  • Good command on MS Excel is must with good understanding of Accounting standard & policies
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Must be willing to work some weekends based on a relevant business need, if required.
