BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY: Plan, direct and evaluate the operational, financial and personnel activities of the District’s athletic programs.
Management of Administrative, Fiscal and/or Facilities Functions: Provide and demonstrate leadership to assigned area; oversee resource allocation to effectively support District goals; and implement/maintain accountability measures for assigned area. Plan, direct and evaluate the operational, financial and personnel activities of the athletic department; provide administrative leadership and supervision; prepare annual operating budget recommendations; develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; and, develop, implement and administer departmental operating policies and procedures. Administer district athletic program; supervise and evaluate coaches; schedule or coordinate the scheduling of athletic contests; contract with game officials; arrange for event supervision; serve as district’s athletic compliance coordinator; order or coordinate the ordering of athletic equipment; and, monitor the academic progress of student-athletes directly or through campus athletic coordinators (and respective team coaches). Research, recommend, implement and administer District and department policies and procedures that are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate departmental activities with other District offices and administrators and provide assistance to requesting departments. Prepare annual operating budget recommendation for department and implement and monitor assigned budgets.
Human Resources Management: Provide administrative direction and leadership to assigned staff for the operational, financial, and personnel resources to effectively support District goals. Supervise, evaluate performance, and lead the recruitment, hire, and placement of assigned staff. Recognize exemplary performance of assigned staff.
Organization Improvement: Analyze critical needs in assigned areas and work collaboratively to design, implement, refine, and evaluate assigned programs in order to continuously improve the campus/department. Advise Deputy Superintendent of Business Administration on matters regarding assigned functions/duties.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid Texas teaching certificate, and three years of related experience, including two years in a supervisor capacity.

Pay: $108,459.66 - $132,268.76 per year
