Job Overview:

As Obsidian Security’s Director of Experiential Marketing, you will be responsible for creating, negotiating, implementing, and activating world-class live and virtual experiences for our customer communities. You will create executive brand experiences that contribute to the marketing organization's KPI's and the company's late-stage pipeline. This role reports to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Your mission will be to deliver first-class experiences that balance business objectives with the “wow-factor” to foster, grow and engage all our communities from executives and practitioners to developers.
  • You will align key business objectives with experiential marketing initiatives. Tracking performance against these targets and providing monthly updates to leadership
  • You will cultivate brand owned experiences that can scale across geographies and our key communities such as Advisory Boards, User Conferences, Speaker Series, Executive Roundtables, Kick-Offs and more.
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, creating experiences (virtual and in-person), driving/measuring success, and sharing details of your communities with key internal stakeholders
  • Scouting, negotiating, and contracting new experiential event partnerships that support broader team goals and reach the target audience
  • Work cross functionally with senior leadership, product, customer success, sales and marketing to build and drive experiential content that engages our key audiences.

Qualifications

  • You’re passionate about building relationships, connecting people and creating first-class virtual and in-person experiences
  • You're a high-energy, self-starting performer who stays on top of what needs to get done and motivates others to make stuff happen
  • 7+ years proven experience in B2B marketing (customer marketing, field marketing, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with no fear of over communications
  • This role requires effective collaboration and coordination across internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-focused, strong cross-functional project management skills
  • You can pivot quickly when business priorities change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with a marketing tech stack (SFDC, Marketo, etc)
  • College degree from an accredited university (MBA preferred)
  • Ability to travel
