Overview:
The Event Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Strategy and Stewardship of Novant Health foundations. As part of the strategy and stewardship team the Event Coordinator is charged with providing leadership and design to Novant Health foundation events. The goal is to enhance donor engagement, elevate present events, and showcase Novant Health areas of excellence. Responsible for developing, designing, and delivering events, trainings, and workshops both in-person and virtual. Strategically manages, plans, and executes multiple types of events from golf tournaments to team meetings to salon events. Works closely with the marketing communications group to align messaging and create collateral.

The top candidate would understand philanthropy and the role it has through events. They would bring creativity and innovation to enhance present events, excellent attention to detail, an ability to handle multiple task; leadership skills to work with team members, vendors, and volunteers; and the ability to design and manage a budget successfully. The best candidate will have a tremendous ability to foresee risks and anticipate needs so that attendees feel the event was a great investment of their time. Candidates should have strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and writing skills.

Qualifications:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, communications, marketing or related field; required. MBA Graduate Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Planning events and fund raisers and other related experience, required. Healthcare experience, preferred.

    • Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively.
    • Ability to use Program Management software.
    • Ability to synthesize complex concepts and data into simple, meaningful reports.
    • Extensive problem solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience using Salesforce or similar development database programs preferred.
    • Self-starter who is process- and results-oriented.
    • Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • A commitment to providing services in accordance to the mission and goals of the organization.
