Job description

Manning Building Supplies distributes dimensional lumber, lumber sheet goods, millwork, windows, interior and exterior doors, and other building products.

Forklift operator needed to work in lumber yard pulling orders and unloading delivery trucks.

Monday-Friday work week

Responsibilities Include:

• Works in the yard loading and unloading trucks using forklift. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Pulling material from a manual pick ticket with accuracy and staging orders for each delivery truck, ensuring that they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Unloading delivery trucks and matching the product received to our Purchase Order paperwork for accuracy.
• Fulfilling orders for walk-in customers
• Receiving product and putting it away accurately
• Keep all machinery clean and in good working order for safe usage
• Working in a fast-paced, customer service driven environment
• Maintaining a clean and efficient lumber yard

Required skills, experience and qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to write, read and communicate in English
• Knowledge and experience of construction, building materials and supplies helpful
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Dependable with high attention to detail.
• Positive Attitude & Strong Work Ethic
• Providing excellent customer service
• Pass a background check & drug test
• NO felonies

Work environment:

• Work in a lumber yard environment outdoors.
• Work around moving trucks and forklift equipment
